Job summary

0804 Chubb Fire & Security Ltd is seeking an experienced Small Works Fire Engineer to install, commission, and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across the London region. This field-based role manages small projects independently, ensures BS5839 compliance, and delivers high-quality fire safety solutions through fault finding and upgrades.

You will produce quotations for small works, manage jobs from enquiry to completion, and work with commercial teams to progress opportunities

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire Engineer with strong fire alarm system knowledge.
• Ability to work at height; IPAF 3a/3b advantageous.
• Current Driving Licence.
• Desire to work hard and be rewarded.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Small Works Fire Engineer to install, commission and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems in the London region. This field-based role will manage small projects independently, ensure compliance with BS5839, and deliver high-quality fire safety solutions through fault finding, remedial work and system upgrades. This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: OTE £65k+ (uncapped).

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.


• Produce quotations for small works and manage jobs from enquiry to completion.


• Collaborate with recommendations, commercial teams and Key Account Managers to progress opportunities.


• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication throughout each project.


• Identify upgrade and improvement opportunities for clients.


• Manage your own diary and area.

What you will bring / Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire Engineer with strong fire alarm system knowledge.


• Ability to work at height; IPAF 3a/3b advantageous.


• Strong customer-focused approach and ability to work independently.


• Excellent teamwork and a can-do attitude.


• Current Driving Licence.


• Desire to work hard and be rewarded.
