Job summary

Ribbons and Reeves Limited in London is seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist SEN school from September 2026. You will work with a multidisciplinary SEND team to assess and deliver therapy, contribute to EHCP outcomes, and support pupils with autism, communication needs, and AAC strategies.

Strong assessment, intervention and report-writing skills are essential, as is a child-centred, patient and solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist is essential.
• A Speech and Language Therapy degree is required.
• Experience working with children/young people in SEND settings.
• Knowledge of SEND and communication needs, including autism.
• Experience supporting pupils with autism and complex SEND needs.
• Strong assessment, intervention and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary SEND team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils' speech, language, communication and interaction needs.
• Develop and deliver individual and group therapy programmes.
• Provide advice and strategies to teaching and support staff.
• Contribute to EHCP assessments, reviews and outcomes.
• Support pupils with expressive/receptive language and social communication needs.
• Work with pupils using AAC, visual communication and other approaches.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary SEND team.
• Support staff to embed communication strategies across the school day.
