Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a diligent Speech and Language Therapist to join the Flying Start service in Cardiff. You will work within the Cardiff Flying Start Speech and Language Team to support identified families with universal and targeted SLT input for early years.

The role involves empowering parents, training Flying Start workers and childcare staff, and contributing to service development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy required.
• Registered member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and HCPC.
• Experience with preschool caseload and Flying Start teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and empower parents to promote children's communication development.
• Advise and train parents, Flying Start workers, and childcare staff.
• Contribute to ongoing development of the Flying Start SLT service.
• Provide supervision to Band 5 SLTs and Band 4 SLT Instructors and placements to students.
