Reflex Group in Telford is seeking experienced Slitter Operators for 1x Part-time and 1x Full-time roles. The position supports a 24-hour-per-week weekend schedule (06:00–18:00 Sat/Sun) and a rotating shift (week 1: 06:00–14:00; week 2: 14:00–22:00).

The role focuses on operating Slitting machines to customer specifications, maintaining safety, cleanliness, and efficient production flow. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health & safety within the Conversion department at all times.
• Operate Slitter machines safely and efficiently.
• Manage ancillary equipment for Slitting machines.
• Minimise downtime and waste in the Conversion department.
• Improve machine performance through troubleshooting and CI approaches.
• Ensure consumables used in the Slitting department are managed.
• Adhere to schedule times and ensure readiness for next jobs.
• Carry out safe shift handovers and document changes.
• Prepare paperwork for the job and next shift.
• Locate materials for current and pending jobs.

The company has an opportunity for an experienced Slitter Operator at our site in Telford.

Location:Telford

Position type: 1x Part- time, 1 x Full time

Working Hours:

1x 24 hours per week 06.00 – 18.00 Saturday and Sunday

1x A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 and week 2: 14.00 – 22.00

Role Overview

The role is to ensure the Slitting machines areoperatingto maximum efficiency, ensuring that designs are Slit within a targettimeframeand to the customer specification. To organise ancillary products/equipment to provide a well organised and safe place of work including, WIP and finished goods ensuring materials are available asrequiredfor the next process (The Customer). A clean environment is key to helpmaintainbest practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure health & safety requirements within the Conversion department areadhered to at all times.
• To ensure that all Slitter operators areoperatingin a safe manner
• Tobe responsible forthe ancillary equipment of the Slitting machines
• To minimise downtime and waste within the Conversion department
• To develop the efficiency of machine performance by effective trouble shooting and implementing improvements using CI techniques.
• Tobe responsible forthe consumable items used within the Slitting department.
• To effectivelyoperatewithin the parameters of schedule, ensuring that set times/run times are adhered to and equipmentis areready for the next job.
• Take due care and attention of equipment and resources withparticular regardto Health & Safety, hygiene, goodhousekeepingand basic maintenance.
• To ensure that Health, Safety and Hygiene procedures arefollowed at all times, including compliance with BRC criteria.
• Carry out effective shift handovers to ensure continued quality and avoid unnecessary downtime issues
• To ensure all paperwork is ready for the job and next shift
• Locate materials ready for the job and new jobs pending
