Job summary

Coveris in Burnley is seeking proactive operators to operate high speed slitting machinery and contribute to quality checks and maintenance. Full training will be provided and opportunities to progress through our bespoke programme.

Shift pattern involves a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts, averaging 14 shifts per month. Salary starts at £29,127 with progression through our training pathway.

Qualifications

• Machine operating desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate high speed slitting machinery in line with conversion of flexible packaging.
• Carry out basic maintenance such as lubrication and clean-downs.
• Challenge low run hours, speeds, waste levels and set-ups.
• Perform quality inspections and administrative tasks per customer specs.
• Liaise with Shift Manager to report and assist with engineering breakdowns as priorities dictate.
• Ensure sufficient material to maximise uptime and keep paperwork up to date.
• Maintain accurate labelling and wrapping records.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all times.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
