Job summary
Coveris UK is seeking proactive operatives to join our Burnley site. You will operate high-speed Slitting Machinery and perform basic maintenance while ensuring quality and paperwork align with customer specifications. Training will be provided to get you up to speed.
We offer a 12-hour day/night shift pattern, averaging 14 shifts per month, with a starting salary of £29,127 and a range of enhanced company benefits. This role is based on-site in Burnley with opportunities for progression.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating high-speed packaging or converting equipment preferred.
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance (lubrication, clean-downs).
- Ability to perform quality inspections and follow customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed Slitting Machinery in line with packaging conversion.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure lubrication and clean-downs.
- Monitor speeds, run hours, and waste levels to optimise output.
- Maintain up-to-date paperwork and record-keeping.
- Ensure labels and wrapping are correct and up to date.
- Support shift manager in reporting and resolving breakdowns promptly.
