Job summary

Coveris in Burnley is seeking a proactive manufacturing operative to operate high speed Slitting Machinery within our flexible packaging production line. You will carry out basic machine maintenance, quality checks and keep paperwork up to date to meet customer specifications.

We offer a 12-hour day/night shift pattern averaging 14 shifts per month, with training provided. Starting salary £29,127, with potential progression through our bespoke training programme and enhanced benefits.

Qualifications

• We are looking for proactive, positive and enthusiastic individuals, with a can-do attitude and who strive for continual improvement.
• Machine operating desirable - full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate high speed Slitting Machinery in accordance with the conversion of flexible packaging.
• Carry out basic maintenance to the machine (lubrication, clean-downs).
• Challenge machine low run hours, speeds, waste levels and set ups.
• Carry out quality inspections and administration per customer specs.
