Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire in Leeds is recruiting a Slinger / Signaller to join our depot team. You will work on-site, ensuring lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently, with a focus on communicating clearly with crane operators and project teams.

The role requires a valid Blue CPCS A40 Slinger/Signaller card, a full driving licence, and a commitment to high safety standards. You’ll help assess load weights, balance and appropriate rigging while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS A40 Slinger / Signaller Blue Card.
• Previous experience in a Slinger / Signaller role.
• Driving Licence (essential).
• Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Attaching and detaching loads safely.
• Directing crane movements using approved signalling methods.
• Liaising with site contacts and project teams on arrival.
• Monitoring wind and weather conditions to ensure safe operations.
• Taking action to stop operations if unsafe conditions arise.
• Ensuring equipment and rigging are checked and fit for use.
