Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire is recruiting for a Slinger / Signaller at the Stockton depot. You will play a vital role in ensuring lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently.

To be considered you must hold a valid CPCS A40 Slinger / Signaller Blue Card and a full driving licence, with the ability to commute to the depot and work within site procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS A40 Slinger/Signaller Blue Card and valid driving licence.
• Experience as a Slinger/Signaller in lifting operations.
• Committed to safety and professional conduct on site.

Responsibilities

• Attaching and detaching loads safely
• Working in line with manufacturer instructions and site procedures
• Establishing load weights, centre of gravity and load balance
• Selecting appropriate lifting accessories and checking equipment condition
• Directing crane movements using approved signalling methods
• Liaising with site contacts and project teams on arrival
• Identifying and challenging unsafe practices when necessary
• Monitoring environmental factors such as wind and weather conditions
• Taking action to prevent dangerous situations, including stopping operations where required
• Operating fire suppressant equipment where fitted

What We’re Looking For

• Valid CPCS A40 Slinger / Signaller Blue Card
• Previous experience in a Slinger / Signaller role
• Strong communication skills
• A safety-first mindset
• Driving Licence (essential)
