Job summary

Active Assistance in Penarth is recruiting for sleeping nights (10pm–8am) to support an 11-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a VP shunt and non-verbal communication in her family home.

This part-time or full-time role offers regular weekly shifts, a stable pattern with the same client, comprehensive training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support from a dedicated Care Manager. You will be paid £12.75 per hour with holiday pay; advances via the Active Learning Hub and awards are available.

Responsibilities

• Support one child with complex needs during the night in her family home.
• Provide overnight care and monitoring during sleeping shifts.
• Work with the care team to follow regular weekly rotas planned in advance.

About the role:

Active Assistance are expanding our client base, and have a new children's care package in Penarth.

This role is to support our brand new client, an 11 year old girl, in her family home overnight. Our client has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, has a VP shunt, and is non-verbal and has behavioural challenges.

This role is for sleeping night shifts, to support her during the night as and when needed.

When you will be working:

• Sleeping nights (10pm-8am)
• Part time or Full time available, depending how many nights a week you are looking for

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
