Qualifications

• Essential: Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Essential: Awareness of professional responsibilities to self and others.
• Essential: Able to communicate with a wide range of people from patients to healthcare professionals.
• Essential: Able to work autonomously and is guided by principles and broad occupational policies or regulations.
• Essential: 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade A-C, or grade 4-9 including English and Maths.
• Essential: Experience of working with the general public.
• Essential: Use of computers, including Microsoft office.
• Desirable: NVQ3, or equivalent, in a relevant subject.
• Desirable: Customer Service training.
• Desirable: Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Desirable: Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary/multi-skilled team.
• Desirable: Experience of working in a clinical environment.
• Desirable: Experience of working with CPAP.

Responsabilités

• Support Sleep Physiology team and Consultants to deliver an efficient service for patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assist patients with mobility needs at appointments (e.g. getting to consultation room).
• May assist in personal care of patients and manual handling as required.
• Set up CPAP equipment and downloads, CPAP devices setup and adjustment, mask fitting and troubleshooting.
• Provide mask fitting sessions, equipment delivery and collection for patients in outpatient settings.
• Undertake cleaning of CPAP machines and sleep study equipment following procedures.
• Support senior physiology staff on the ward as needed.
• Help manage flow of clinics across the week and assist with patient transport arrangements.
