Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a nurturing SEN TA for a Special Needs School in Shropshire to support learners with Severe Learning Disabilities. The role involves daily classroom support and promoting SALT-informed strategies to help communication and learning.

Hours are 8.30 to 3.30, Monday to Friday, with ASAP start and potential for long-term commitment. A compassionate, proactive approach and consistency are essential to success in this setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD).
• Knowledge of speech and language therapy (SALT) concepts is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Severe Learning Disabilities in daily classroom activities.
• Assist with behaviour support, routine structure and inclusive teaching.
• Help implement SALT-informed strategies to aid communication and learning.
