Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Specialist SLD Teacher to join a supportive setting in Solihull. The role is full-time, five days per week, working with pupils who have severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties, supported through EHCPs.

You will plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons, support progress and development, work with a range of professionals, and help create a positive, inclusive environment to help each pupil thrive.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils with SLD and/or PMLD.
• Patient, flexible and committed to meeting individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils’ academic progress, communication skills and personal development.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Support pupils in achieving their EHCP outcomes.
