Job summary

Dunbia Sawley is recruiting for a hands-on Slaughter Hall Team member in Sawley, near Gisburn. The role supports safe, efficient and hygienic processing of cattle with full training provided. Monday to Friday, 6am–3pm, join a team that values quality and animal welfare.

Experience in food manufacturing is helpful but not essential; reliable, proactive applicants who work well with others will thrive. Immediate start, weekly pay, and company benefits are offered in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Full training provided; previous food manufacturing experience beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to follow procedures carefully and work as part of a team.
• Demonstrates reliability, initiative and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties within the slaughter hall, including slaughter, dressing and evisceration of cattle, in line with animal welfare, food safety and company procedures.
• Work safely and effectively as part of the team to support efficient production.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, quality and food safety standards at all times.
• Work in line with customer and company specifications.
• Maintain a clean-as-you-go approach, ensuring the work area is kept clean during and after production.
• Follow instructions from the Manager/Supervisor and contribute to achieving departmental targets.
• Use all equipment, tools and PPE correctly and responsibly, in line with training and site procedures.
