Job Description:

To deliver high-quality training programmes that develop Apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours as required for their Apprenticeship. Complete individual Apprentice learning, assessments, reviews, and completions in a timely manner as set by management, achieving or exceeding the required quality standards. Support all elements of the Apprentice journey, including preparation for Gateway for Standards Apprentices, providing Apprentices with constructive, professional, and relevant feedback and support to help them gain the Apprenticeship Framework or Standard, as appropriate.

This position is Hybrid (50% Remote and 50% at 29 Reg The Duke of Gloucester Barracks British Army barracks at South Cerney in Gloucestershire).

Core tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support and deliver high-quality, individualized Apprenticeship initial assessments to identify the starting point of the Apprentice’s journey.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to support the development of knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  • Offer constructive, professional feedback to support progress.
  • Utilize technology effectively in learning delivery.
  • Embrace new working methods and technologies, engaging learners creatively.
  • Arrange regular workplace visits/contact to support Apprentices.
  • Assess work within set timeframes and guidelines.
  • Observe and give feedback on Apprenticeship work.
  • Ensure assessments and evidence are valid, authentic, relevant, and current.
  • Conduct Progress Reviews and submit paperwork timely.
  • Monitor Apprentices' development and liaise with Programme Managers.
  • Maintain accurate Apprentice records.
  • Complete virtual or on-site visits as required.
  • Quality assure work of other Coaches where qualified.
  • Work proactively with learners and stakeholders to promote positive relations.
  • Maintain positive relations with all stakeholders.
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Attend meetings and undertake CPD activities.
  • Assist in assessing other qualifications or developing other Apprentices.
  • Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Work on other apprenticeship programmes as needed.
  • Undertake any other duties as required.

Our Successful Applicant:

  • Experience in delivering Large Goods Vehicle and Supply Chain Apprenticeships.
  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills or willingness to develop them.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Experience:

  • Background in Logistics & Air Ground operations, customer interaction at check-in, information desks, and boarding gates.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Warehousing, coordinating receipt, order, and dispatch of goods, and using space/mechanical handling equipment.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to use technology effectively in delivery.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Strong written skills for detailed feedback and objectives.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections.
