Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking a Skilled Welder / Fabricator to join their team on a permanent night shift in Burnley. This hands-on role requires time-served welding expertise with MIG/MAG and TIG processes, and the ability to read engineering drawings and abide by welding standards.

You will work 38 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 10:00pm-7:30am, with an option for an earlier start/finish. The position offers a competitive annual salary of £41,464 and a permanent, full-time contract with weekly

Skilled Welder / Fabricator – Night Shift

Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Salary: £41,464 per annum (£21.01 per hour including night shift allowance)
Hours: 38 hours per week
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 10:00pm-7:30am
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – Weekly Paid

Option to request a 30-minute earlier start and finish.

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Skilled Welder / Fabricator to join an established engineering and manufacturing business on a permanent night shift.

This is a hands-on position suited to a time-served Welder/Fabricator with strong MIG/MAG and TIG welding experience and a commitment to producing high-quality work to engineering drawings and defined welding standards.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG/MAG and TIG welding and fabrication
• Read and work accurately from technical and engineering drawings
• Understand weld symbols and welding procedures (WPS)
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding and flame-cutting equipment
• Use fettling and grinding tools
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products
• Operate fabrication machinery including press brakes, rolls, shears and drill presses
• Complete quality documentation and maintain product traceability
• Work to a right-first-time approach
• Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S practices.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally be a time-served Welder/Fabricator with:

• Strong MIG/MAG and TIG welding experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings and quality plansExperience using a variety of measuring equipment
• Good understanding of welding procedures and quality standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, flexible and safety-conscious approach

Experience with robot welders, seam welding or laser equipment would be advantageous.
