Kinetic PLC is seeking a time served Welder / Fabricator for a permanent position in Burnley. The role requires proficiency in MIG/MAG and TIG welding techniques, along with the ability to work night shifts from Monday to Thursday.

Job description

Are you a time served Welder / Fabricator looking for your next permanent job in Burnley? Have you got knowledge of Welding Equipment both MIG/MAG & TIG, and be proficient in assigned welding techniques. Are you time served with plenty of experience? Happy working a night shift, Mon - Thurs only 22.00 - 07.30? Would a salary of just over £41500 be OK for you (£21.01 per hour)? Can you travel to Burnley for work with ease? If you have answered "yes" to all the above questions then this role maybe perfect for you. Suitable candidates will be called and given additional information on the position and company.

Duties of this position will include;

• Ability to use own initiative to work as an individual or as part of a team unsupervised.
• Ability to operate computer equipment for data purposes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and engineering quality plans.
• Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
• A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.
• Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes within given boundaries.
• Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers.
• Time management skills.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to read and understand written planning and follow verbal instructions.

Ideal candidates will be time served or have equivalent qualifications

• Knowledge of Welding Equipment both MIG/MAG & TIG, and be proficient in assigned welding techniques.
• Prior experience of operating robot welders would be advantageous.
• Seam weld experience would be preferred.
• Experience of using laser equipment is desirable.

Salary - £(phone number removed) (£16.21 per hour and additional £4.80 for night shift)

Hours - Night (Mon-Thurs 22.00 - 07.30)
