Job summary

Sandown Dorset and Wiltshire Limited is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join their workshop team. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards and diagnose faults to ensure high-quality outcomes for customers.

Role includes MOT testing where qualified, vehicle health checks, and maintaining thorough records. An agile team player with strong communication and attention to detail is essential; a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing & Repair.
• Experience in an automotive workshop environment, ideally within a franchised dealership.
• Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing MOT testing and associated repair work where qualified.
• Conducting vehicle health checks and identifying any additional work required.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing all relevant vehicle documentation.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
