Job summary

DCM Tyre and Autocentres is looking for a Tyre Technician to join our busy, friendly workshop in Shaftesbury and Blandford. You will be at the heart of our workshop, fitting, removing and balancing tyres and carrying out wheel alignment to keep customers safe on the road.

The role requires previous tyre fitter/fast-fit experience, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive approach. We offer a competitive salary, 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, uniform and PPE, ongoing training and a clear

Qualifications

• Experience as tyre fitter or fast-fit technician.
• Good understanding of tyre safety and legal requirements.
• Hard-working, punctual and able to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
• Friendly and confident when speaking with customers.

Responsibilities

• Fitting, removing, repairing and balancing tyres on cars, vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Carrying out wheel alignment and tracking checks.
• Inspecting tyres for wear, damage and legal compliance, and advising customers clearly.
• Fitting and servicing TPMS sensors.
• Performing basic vehicle checks and fast-fit tasks (batteries, wipers, bulbs).
• Follow correct wheel nut torque procedures and health & safety guidelines.
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy and well organised.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

The Role

As a Tyre Technician, you'll be at the heart of our workshop, keeping customers safe on the road. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Fitting, removing, repairing and balancing tyres on cars, vans and light commercial vehicles
• Carrying out wheel alignment and tracking checks
• Inspecting tyres for wear, damage and legal compliance, and advising customers clearly
• Fitting and servicing TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring) sensors
• Performing basic vehicle checks and fast-fit work such as batteries, wipers, bulbs
• Following correct wheel nut torque procedures and all health and safety guidelines
• Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and well organised

About You

Essentials

• Previous experience as a tyre fitter or fast-fit technician
• Good understanding of tyre safety and legal requirements
• Hard-working, punctual and able to work well under pressure in a busy environment
• Friendly and confident when speaking with customers
• Full UK driving licence

Desirables

• NTDA or ATS training/qualifications
