Skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder

Location: Macclesfield

Salary: £16.50 - £18 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role

Our client currently has an opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their team.

Working in a busy shop floor environment in their Macclesfield workshop, using a range of equipment and welding processes to manufacture high-quality fabrications for the food, pharmaceutical, water, and textile industries.

Skills and Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience
2. Ability to produce high standards of work using stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel
3. NVQ Level 2/3
4. City & Guilds Certifications
5. Ability to fabricate bespoke items from engineering drawings to exact tolerances, using laser-cut profiles and/or equipment such as guillotines, band saws, drills, press brake, hydroformer, and rollers
6. Welding expertise in thin gauge stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel using TIG welding for high-quality cosmetic finishes; pipe welding experience is advantageous
7. Flexibility to assist in other areas based on manufacturing needs
8. Adherence to and promotion of good health & safety and operational procedures
9. Professional attitude and image in all work-related activities
10. Willingness to work overtime when required
