Location: Derby

Pay Rate: £17.60 rising to £19.05 after probation for workshop work; £17.76 rising to £20.58 after probation for customer site work

LG Engineering Solutions is recruiting MIG/MAG Welders to join a business that specializes in rolling stock repairs for the rail industry. The company is experiencing sustained growth and is expanding its team. Initially, you will undergo training in the workshop for the first three months, then rotate between customer depots and the workshop.

This position is suitable for individuals willing to work away from Derby when required.

Responsibilities

1. Carrying out welding repairs using MIG or MAG on various rolling stock.
2. Primarily working on Mild Steel, with some Aluminum.
3. Welding thicknesses of 2mm-4mm.
4. Performing bench welding.
5. Executing various positional welds, including overhead and vertical up.
6. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Experience with MIG/MAG or TIG welding.
