Job summary

Thomas Stewart Builders Ltd in Scotland is seeking an experienced roofer to join our West Central Scotland team. The role focuses on domestic and commercial projects with planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and refurbishments.

You will work independently or with colleagues, identify roofing defects, carry out repairs to a high standard, and collaborate with multi-trade teams while keeping safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a roofer across pitched, tiled and flat roofing systems.
• Ability to identify defects and propose effective repairs.
• Experience working in a multi-trade construction environment.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across sites.

Responsibilities

• Traditional pitched slate and tiled roofing across domestic and commercial sites.
• Flat roofing systems installation and repairs.
• Leadwork, flashings and valleys installation.
• Chimney repairs and associated works.
• Guttering, fascia and soffit works.
• Leak investigation and fault finding.
• Planned and reactive roof repairs.
• Strip and re-roofing works.
• Identifying roofing defects and determining repairs.
• Working safely and to a high standard.
• Collaborating with other trades as part of a multi-trade team.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
