Job summary

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Roofer to join a professional and growing roofing company in Loughborough. This is a hands-on role requiring a reliable, skilled individual who can work independently and as part of a wider team.

Carry out flat roofing works, install and repair felt roofing systems and carry out lead roofing, flashing and weatherproofing works. Maintain safety and quality across projects and liaise with customers as required.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card is essential.
• Proven experience as Roofer required.
• Experience with flat roofs / 1 ply roofs preferred.
• Experience with felt roofing systems desirable.
• Experience with lead work desirable.
• Driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out flat roofing works to a high standard.
• Install and repair felt roofing systems.
• Carry out lead roofing, flashing and weatherproofing works.
• Identify and repair leaks and other roofing defects.
• Prepare roof surfaces and materials prior to installation.
• Work safely and efficiently while following company procedures.
• Ensure all roofing works are completed to the required specification and quality standards.
• Use roofing tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Liaise with colleagues, site managers and customers as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
• Identify potential issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Work to agreed schedules and maintain good timekeeping.
• Undertake other roofing duties as directed.

As a Roofer, you will also be expected to:

• Complete work to a consistently high standard
• Follow drawings, specifications and instructions where required
• Ensure materials and equipment are used correctly and efficiently
• Work safely at height and comply with all relevant site safety procedures
• Maintain a professional attitude when working on customer and client sites
• Be flexible and willing to work across different projects when required
