Job summary

Story Contracting Limited is seeking a Skilled Operative Plus for our Story Scotland Transportation Division in and around Blantyre. You will deliver the programme of work on time, to the highest quality, and in line with safety standards.

We value civils groundworks experience (drainage, concreting, formwork, fencing, compound installation), a full driving licence, and willingness to lodge away and work weekends. Story offers training, pension, health plan and volunteering days.

Qualifications

• Experience in civils environment and groundworks
• Strong ability to learn and adapt to new methods
• Excellent team player and able to build client relationships
• Experience with drainage, concreting, formwork, fencing, and compound installation
• Must hold dumper and roller competence and small tools competence
• Willing to lodge away, work weekends and unsociable hours
• Hold a full driving license

The Role

As a Skilled Operative Plus at Story Contracting you will deliver the programme of work on time, to the right quality and in line with all safety standards. Acting as a representative of Story Contracting at all times.

Key Responsibilities;

• Deliver programme of work to the highest possible standards.
• Ensure work is undertaken in line with all health, safety and environmental
• Build effective Client relationships.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Have strong ability to learn.

• Experienced in civils groundworks including Drainage, Concreting, Formwork, Fencing, Compound installation.
• Must hold either dumper, roller competence.
• Hold small tools competence.
• Be adaptable to new methods of work - up to date with latest way of working
• Have ability work flexibly, including lodging away, weekends and unsociable hours
• Hold a full driving license.
