Job summary

VN Appointments is seeking a Skilled Landscape Operative to join our award-winning landscape construction team across East Anglia, Cambridgeshire and London. The role focuses on high-quality hard landscaping, paving, brickwork, and precise setting-out from drawings.

You will work 40–46 hours per week on site, typically Monday to Friday, with travel time paid in addition. CSCS is desirable; a full UK driving license is required. The position offers a clear progression path and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years' experience in landscaping.
• Strong hard landscaping skills including paving, brickwork, footings, and small retaining walls.
• Ability to read technical drawings and set levels accurately.
• Experience operating machinery and plant (e.g. excavators).
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
• Good Health & Safety awareness (CSCS card desirable).
• Full UK driving license (towing license advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out high-quality hard landscaping works Independently or as part of a small team.
• Setting out works accurately using drawings and specifications.
• Delivering projects to a high standard, on time and to specification.
• Liaising effectively with Team Leaders, Project Managers, and other trades.
• Identifying and communicating any issues or concerns promptly.
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety standards.
• Complete weekly timesheets.
• Representing the company professionally at all times on site.

Job description: Skilled Landscape Operative

• Job Type: Full-time Employment
• Working Week: 40-46 paid hours per week (Depending on location)
• Onsite Hours: Minimum 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
• Travel Time: Paid in addition to your 40 onsite working hours (typically up to 6 hours per week, depending on project location).
• Wage £15.50 per hr.
• Example: A typical week of 46 working hours (including travel) would net a gross wage of £37,076.00
• Location: East Anglia, Cambridgeshire & London

The Role
