Job summary

Coinford is seeking experienced Groundwork Handymen for a busy residential project in Sittingbourne. You will focus on finishing and external works, including slabbing, kerbing, garden preparation and general groundworks. You will operate a Forward Tipping Dumper and contribute to a collaborative site team.

Role requires handling paving, kerbs and garden prep, with attention to safety and quality. Long-term work, competitive rates, and weekly pay available on site.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card is required.
• Experience finishing groundworks and external works is essential.
• Willingness to work on a busy residential project and in external environments.
• Ability to read site drawings and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Laying and finishing paving slabs to required specifications.
• Installing kerbs, edgings and other hard landscaping features.
• Garden and plot preparation, including topsoiling and finishing works.
• Assisting with pathways, driveways and external finishes.
• Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper safely and effectively.
• Carrying out groundwork and handyman duties as required.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Working from drawings and site instruction to achieve programme targets.
• Carrying out daily plant and equipment safety checks.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for experienced Groundwork Handymen to join our team on a busy residential project in Sittingbourne. This role will focus on finishing and external works, including slabbing, kerbing, garden preparation and general external groundworks. Applicants should be competent operating a Forward Tipping Dumper and capable of working efficiently as part of an established site team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Laying and finishing paving slabs to required specifications
• Installing kerbs, edgings and other hard landscaping features
• Garden and plot preparation, including topsoiling and finishing works
• Assisting with pathways, driveways and external finishes
• Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper safely and effectively
• Carrying out groundwork and handyman duties as required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Working from drawings and site instruction to achieve programme targets
• Carrying out daily plant and equipment safety checksSupporting the wider site team with general external works

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid CSCS Card
• CPCS or NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper ticket
• Previous experience in finishing groundworks and external works
• Experience with slabbing, kerbing and garden preparation
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

• CPCS / NPORS Ride-On Roller
• Landscaping or hard landscaping experience
• Abrasive Wheels Training
• Face Fit Certification
• Harness Awareness Certification
• 3+ years' experience in residential finishing groundworks
• Experience working on large residential developments
