Job summary

OnSite Central Ltd is seeking a skilled Groundworker to join our Rail & Civils team in the UK. You will perform a range of groundwork tasks including excavation, drainage, concreting, foundations, and reinstatement, operating in rail and civil environments while maintaining safety and quality.

The role offers a competitive salary (£35,000–£40,000) with a company van, PPE, overtime opportunities, and ongoing training and development to support career progression.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Groundworker role.
  • Valid PTScertification.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A reliable, proactive and positive approach to work.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Confined Space training.
  • First Aid certification.
  • TWC/TWS.

Responsibilities

  • Excavation and drainage works.
  • Concreting, foundations and reinstatement activities.
  • Working within rail and operational environments in accordance with site procedures.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and site specifications.

OnSite are looking for a skilled and experienced Groundworker to join our growing Rail & Civils team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a business that values safety, quality, and professional development while working on a variety of rail and civil engineering projects.

As a Skilled Groundworker, you will undertake a range of groundwork and civil engineering activities, including excavation, drainage, concreting, foundations and reinstatement works. You'll work within rail and operational environments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role:
