Job summary

Ground Control in Nottinghamshire is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead rail and infrastructure projects. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, manage field teams and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Site Manager within Rail, Infrastructure or Construction.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of vegetation management and health & safety/CDM requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel; experience using digital systems for project tracking and reporting.
  • CSCS Site Manager/Supervisor card.
  • PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations across rail and infrastructure projects.
  • Lead and support site teams to deliver work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Plan site activities, possessions and resources to keep projects on schedule.
  • Carry out site inspections, audits, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Prepare RAMS, task briefs and project documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, Network Rail, subcontractors and landowners.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve site issues and manage changes.
  • Promote environmental best practice, sustainability and continuous improvement.

We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of rail and infrastructure projects across our contracts. You'll lead day-to-day site operations, manage field teams, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with clients, Network Rail and operational teams, you'll play a key role in delivering successful projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and performance.

What we’re looking for;
