Job summary

Shields (Driffield) Ltd in Driffield, East Yorkshire, is seeking a full-time Fabricator/Welder to join our team. You will fabricate, assemble and weld metal components from engineering drawings, mainly from our workshop with occasional site work across the UK.

The role offers training and development, with opportunities to broaden skills across workshop and site-based activities. OTE £40,000 and a competitive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ Welding Certificate required.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience in MIG, TIG and/or MMA welding.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Experience in metal fabrication or engineering workshop.
• Good attention to detail and workmanship.
• Strong health & safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and weld metal components from engineering drawings.
• Operate welding, cutting, grinding and workshop machinery.
• Work on bespoke equipment including silos, conveyors, cyclones, elevators and transitions.
• Work in workshop and site environments and adhere to safety standards.
