Job summary

Arriva Rail London Ltd is seeking a Night Shift Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician to maintain and repair our bus fleet. You’ll work 21:50–06:26 with a 7 nights on / 3 off pattern, keeping vehicles safe and ready for service.

You'll need a relevant engineering or vehicle maintenance qualification or practical experience, plus strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on heavy vehicles.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as Bus Mechanic, PSV or HGV technician.
• Strong diagnostic skills and practical problem solving.
• Ability to use workshop equipment and diagnostic tools safely.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs across our bus fleet.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Completing vehicle inspections and safety checks to meet standards.
• Investigating recurring faults and reducing downtime.
• Maintaining accurate records of repairs and parts used.
• Sharing expertise with colleagues and supporting less experienced team members.

# Night Shift Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician (HGV Experience Welcome) **£25.57 per hour | £1,109.56 per week** **Night shifts: 21:50–06:26** **Rota: 7 nights on, 3 off, followed by 7 nights on, 4 off****Skilled with heavy vehicles?
