Job summary

Arriva UK Bus is seeking a skilled PSV Night Engineer to join our Norwood Garage team. You will carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on buses and PSVs, diagnosing faults with advanced tools and ensuring work meets DVSA safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 in PSV/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and has practical experience in a workshop environment. A full UK driving licence is preferred, with flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 PSV/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance is required.
• Experience as PSV Engineer, HGV Technician, Bus Mechanic or related role preferred.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses, PSVs, vehicles and engineering equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools.
• Complete repairs, modifications and upgrades in line with DVSA and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, inspection reports and maintenance documentation.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, manuals and technical documentation.
• Support junior engineers and apprentices where required.
