Job summary

Walkers Deli & Sausage, based in Leicester, is seeking a Production Operative to support daily manufacturing on the lines, using scissor lifts, wrapping machines, packing belts, pallet trucks and automated palletisers.

You will keep the workspace clean, minimise waste, ensure labels and date codes are correct, carry out production checks, follow procedures and highlight issues to the Team Leader. Progression toward Team Leader or other roles is encouraged.

• Daily use of machinery: Scissor lift, wrapping machine, packing belts, pallet trucks, trolleys and automated palletiser.
• Keep workspace clean and minimise waste while ensuring labels, packaging codes and date codes are correct.
• Ensure production process checks are carried out and recorded, follow procedures and highlight issues to the Team Leader.

• Ensure Production process checks are carried out and recorded correctly while following procedures and checking product quality and highlight any issues to the Team Leader.
