Job summary

Alexander Mann Solutions - Contingency is assisting a global aerospace client by recruiting a Skilled CNC Machinist for a 12-month contract based in Annesley. You will support manufacture and inspection of components using precision machining and inspection techniques.

You will set up and run programmes across diverse shopfloor areas, work flexible shift patterns, and uphold exacting safety and quality standards in line with technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Time-served experience in machining and/or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical instructions and inspection procedures.
• Experience in manufacturing, machining or inspection (aerospace experience desirable but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Carry out machining or inspection, and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities in line with technical instructions and engineering drawings.
• Set up, operate, and run programmes across a range of manufacturing equipment.
• Work across multiple shopfloor areas including machining, inspection, welding processes, furnace operations, and polishing.
• Process components such as blades, discs, blisks, and drums to required specifications.
• Collaborate closely with support functions to resolve production or quality issues.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
• Work flexibly across shift patterns including days, 2-shift, 3-shift, or 4-shift rotations depending on business needs.

The skills you'll need as a Skilled CNC Machinist:

• A recognised Level 3 qualification and Engineering Apprenticeship
• Time-served experience in machining and/or inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical instructions, and inspection procedures
• Experience in manufacturing, machining, or inspection (aerospace experience desirable but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shift patterns
