Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a butcher to join our Market Street fresh counters. You will cut, bone and prepare meat to company specs, while helping in-store and online shoppers choose the right cuts. You will maintain attractive displays and ensure safety and hygiene at all times.

Ideal candidates bring strong knife skills, a hands-on approach, and a passion for quality fresh food, with flexibility to support store colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven knife and butchery skills with ability to cut, bone and prepare meat to standard.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding, friendly service at the butcher counter for in-store and online shoppers.
• Cut, bone, dice, mince, season, and wrap meat primals to company specs using specialist equipment.
• Maintain vibrant, well-stocked displays of fresh meat and pre-packaged ranges throughout the day.
• Uphold health, safety and hygiene standards while using knives, saws and mincing machines.
