Jane Austen College is seeking an inspiring mentor to provide academic support to our pupils. The role will require you to help develop and maintain effective and supportive relationships with the pupils you work with, and have a calm, clear and consistent approach to working with young people.

You will coach and mentor pupils according to their educational needs, meet pupils to review assignments in the relevant subject area, and discuss topics warranting further exploration.

Qualifikationen

• A level or equivalent in the mentored subject.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to support learning.
• Good ICT, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Aufgaben

• Coach and mentor pupils according to their educational needs.
• Meet pupils and review assignments in the subject area.
• Discuss topics warranting further exploration with pupils.
• Review homework and test scores and work through problems with pupils.
• Prepare and update subject materials where relevant.
