Job summary

Hednesford Valley High School is seeking an experienced Site Technician to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our students with SEND.

This role involves site security, health and safety compliance, planned and reactive maintenance, contractor supervision and ensuring our buildings and grounds remain safe, functional and well-presented. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership, strong organisation and calmness under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities management or a similar site-based role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements including risk assessment.
• Practical, resourceful and able to solve problems independently.
• Takes ownership of tasks and can prioritise workload effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Communicates positively with staff, contractors, students and visitors.
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to safeguarding children and young people.

• Comfortable working on their own during school closure periods.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone whotakes pride in their work and enjoys the challenge of managing a busy schoolsite. You will be responsible for site security, health and safety compliance,planned and reactive maintenance, contractor supervision and ensuring ourbuildings and grounds remain safe, functional and well-presented.
