Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates is recruiting a Technical Manager for an established food manufacturing business in Central Scotland. You will lead the site technical agenda, driving food safety, quality and legal compliance, and work closely with Operations to maintain the highest standards across the factory.

The role requires strong HACCP knowledge and experience leading audits, investigations and a technical team.

Qualifications

Experience leading technical or quality management in food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, quality and factory standards.
Experience leading or supporting retailer and third-party audits.
Confidence engaging with customers, auditors and senior site stakeholders.
Experience coaching or developing technical/quality colleagues.
Strong investigation, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Lead the site technical agenda in partnership with Operations to uphold food safety, quality and legality.
Act as HACCP Team Leader and maintain robust safety controls.
Coordinate external audits, customer visits and technical inspections.
Ensure audit readiness and close out non-conformances with corrective actions.
Serve as key technical contact for customers and audit bodies.
Drive GMP, foreign body controls and general manufacturing standards.
Oversee internal audit, verification and traceability programs.
Lead investigations into major complaints, incidents, holds and withdrawals.
