Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Ganger to lead a small team of operatives on civil engineering and utility projects. You will coordinate on-site activities, ensure safe practices and maintain quality and programme delivery across East Anglia and surrounding regions.

You will work closely with Supervisors, Site Managers and Project Managers to promote safety, manage resources, and uphold high standards of workmanship and compliance.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) mandatory.
• Emergency First Aid at Work (3 Days) required.
• EUSR Water Hygiene certificate required.
• NRSWA (Street Works) qualification required.
• Confined Spaces training required.
• CPCS or NPORS Plant Operator qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of operatives delivering civil engineering and utility works.
• Organise daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and on programme.
• Allocate tasks and resources to maximise productivity.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, traffic management and subcontractors.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Monitor productivity, quality and progress, reporting issues to the Supervisor or Site Manager.
• Represent the company professionally with clients, the public and stakeholders.

Education

Full UK Driving Licence, SSSTS, Emergency First Aid at Work (3 Day), EUSR Water Hygiene, NRSWA (Street Works), Confined Spaces, CPCS or NPORS Plant Operator
