Job summary

Claret Civil Engineering, a part of Network Plus, is seeking a General Operative to support civil engineering and utility works across East Anglia the East Midlands and South Lincolnshire. You will work as part of a site team, delivering construction activities safely and to programme with high quality standards.

Responsibilities include groundwork, excavations, ducting, drainage, pipe laying and concreting, plus plant operation, site housekeeping and compliance with GDPR and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in civil engineering or construction is desirable but not essential.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general civil engineering and groundwork activities.
• Assist with excavations, ducting, drainage, pipe laying and concreting works.
• Operate hand tools and small plant safely (where trained).
• Load and move materials and equipment around site.
• Maintain safe, clean and organised work areas.
• Follow supervisor instructions and site safety rules.
• Complete timesheets and site documentation accurately.
