Job summary

WPS is seeking a Site Surveyor to support planned maintenance across occupied social housing properties in Swindon. You will survey properties, scope works, validate specifications and help set up projects for successful delivery from the outset.

Key responsibilities include surveying, preparing schedules, identifying defects, and liaising with residents and clients to ensure compliance and quality across multi-client housing programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of building construction and defects diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-work property surveys across occupied social housing stock.

Site Surveyor

We are seeking a motivated Site Surveyor to support the delivery of planned maintenance works across occupied social housing properties throughout Swindon. Working closely with operational, commercial and resident liaison teams, you will be responsible for surveying properties, scoping works, validating specifications and ensuring projects are set up for successful delivery from the outset.

• Responsible for undertaking property surveys and preparing work specifications.
• Multi-client social housing programme with long-term work security.

Main Duties

• Undertaking pre-work property surveys across occupied social housing stock.
• Producing schedules of works and detailed specifications.
• Identifying repair requirements, defects and compliance-related issues.
• Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to support programme delivery.
• Assisting with the pricing and validation of works where required.
• Cost variations
• Liaising with residents and client representatives during surveying activities.
• Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with company and client standards.

Experience

• Previous experience delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit works. (Essential)
• Experience working within occupied social housing environments. (Essential)
• Previous experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor. (Desirable)
• Strong knowledge of building construction, defects diagnosis and property surveying. (Essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence. (Essential)
• Relevant construction or surveying qualification. (Desirable)
