Job summary

WPS is seeking a motivated Site Surveyor to support planned maintenance across occupied social housing properties in Swindon. You will survey properties, scope works, validate specifications and ensure projects are set up for successful delivery from the outset.

Working with operations, commercial and resident liaison teams, you will produce schedules of works, identify defects and compliance issues, and liaise with residents and client representatives throughout surveying activities.

Qualifications

• Essential: delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit works.
• Essential: experience in occupied social housing environments.
• Desirable: experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
• Essential: strong knowledge of building construction, defects diagnosis and property surveying.
• Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.
• Desirable: relevant construction or surveying qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking pre-work property surveys across occupied social housing stock.
• Producing schedules of works and detailed specifications.
• Identifying repair requirements, defects and compliance-related issues.
• Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to support programme delivery.
• Assisting with the pricing and validation of works where required.
• Cost variations.
• Liaising with residents and client representatives during surveying activities.
• Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with company and client standards.

We are seeking a motivated Site Surveyor to support the delivery of planned maintenance works across occupied social housing properties throughout Swindon.

Experience We're Seeking

• Previous experience delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit works. (Essential)
• Experience working within occupied social housing environments. (Essential)
• Previous experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor. (Desirable)
• Strong knowledge of building construction, defects diagnosis and property surveying. (Essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence. (Essential)
• Relevant construction or surveying qualification. (Desirable)
