Job summary

Jungheinrich UK Limited is seeking a field service technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on materials handling equipment. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service, completing accurate reports, and maintaining stock levels.

You will build strong relationships with customers and work closely with the after sales team to meet contractual obligations. The ideal candidate holds a clean driving license, has experience in customer-facing roles, and can work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment.
• Carry out repairs of materials handling and ancillary equipment.
• Complete service reports and time sheets accurately.
• Manage and control parts stock.
• Build strong customer relationships and meet contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with the after sales office for repair times and ETA.
• Identify chargeable follow-up work and communicate to the customer.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Pass on sales leads for Jungheinrich equipment and After Sales products.
• Act as a Company Ambassador at all times.

The Role

• Repair and preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment.

Role Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment.
• Repair of materials handling and ancillary equipment.
• Accurately complete service reports and time sheets.
• Manage and control parts stock.
• Build customer relationships through good levels of communication, ensuring customer expectations are met in line with contractual obligations.
• Close liaison with the after sales office to ensure accurate information for customers inregards to repair times and estimated times of arrival.
• Optimise external revenue by ensuring chargeable follow up work identified is communicated to the Customer and completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure all company and customer health and safety procedures are met.
• Identify sales leads for the Jungheinrich range of equipment and After Sales products.
• Act as a Company Ambassador at all times.

Person Requirements

• The ideal candidate will hold a clean driving license and have a good level of education.
• They will also have experience of working in a customer facing environment and be used to working unsupervised.
