Key Responsibilities

• Organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment and absence management.
• Manage all other resources e.g. materials and plant.
• Coach and develop staff to reach their potential.
• Carry out team briefings with teams.
• Monitor staff performance to specification and working instructions.
• Liaise with the client and other job-related personnel, including:

1. Arranging and attending programme meetings.
2. Meeting clients’ requirements in a cost-effective way.
3. Providing client progress updates.
4. Meeting councils, surveyors, site managers, and client’s staff as required.

• Maximise plant and vehicle utilisation.
• Manage, control, and reduce wastage of materials.
• Take ownership of overall process – think ahead, determine, and implement efficient methods of working.
• Manage plant responsibility.
• Liaise with and manage subcontractors working on the contract, ensuring compliance with the Company’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
• Act as a Health & Safety Representative, including conducting safety inspections, raising safety concerns, and investigating reportable incidents.
• Utilise the GARD system continuously to organise works, reduce costs, and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Control plant sheets, ensuring accurate logging and collation of information.

Experience and Qualifications

• Computer literate.
• Experience in Utilities.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
