Job summary

Carrington West urgently seeks a confident Front Line Supervisor to manage day-to-day activities on a live water treatment site in Southampton. You will lead direct labour and subcontractors, deliver tool-box talks, and ensure RAMS, permits to work and site controls are followed.

You will collaborate with site management, client team and operational staff to keep works on track without disrupting the treatment process.

Qualifications

• SSSTS or SMSTS are required for site supervision.
• CSCS Gold Card (Supervisor) is required.
• EUSR certification is required.
• Proven supervisory experience in civils, construction or MEICA, ideally in water.
• Experience on live or operational sites.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

Front Line Supervisor - Water Treatment Works, Southampton - Outside IR35

This site plays a crucial role in supplying clean drinking water to hundreds of thousands of people across Southampton and Hampshire, and it's in the middle of a major investment programme. We're looking for a confident contract Front Line Supervisor to keep work on this live, operational site safe, on track and to a high standard.

You'll run day-to-day site activity, leading direct labour and subcontractors. You'll deliver briefings and toolbox talks, and you'll make sure RAMS, permits to work and site controls are followed. You'll work closely with site management, the client team and operational staff so the works run smoothly without disrupting the treatment process. It's a hands-on leadership role where your judgement directly shapes safety and delivery on site.

To succeed, you'll bring:

• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CSCS Gold Card (Supervisor)

Water or wastewater treatment experience, First Aid and confined spaces training are a bonus.
