Site Supervisor - Developer Services

As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee local operational teams responsible for mains laying and new supplier connections for developers of all sizes. Your role includes supervising teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and meets client expectations. You will manage operational activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.

Customer service is vital; you will promote a 'right first time' approach, building confidence with developers. You will collaborate with teams to manage and deliver programmes effectively. Your efforts will contribute to improving D-MeX scores, a regulatory measure of developer satisfaction, working closely with Yorkshire Water to enhance service ratings.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Developer Services teams and their daily operations
• Organize labour efficiently, including recruitment, discipline, wages, and absence management
• Manage resources such as materials and equipment
• Accurately document work, including photographs and records of as-laid works
• Visit sites to review progress and ensure standards are met
• Conduct team briefings and coaching sessions monthly
• Perform team inspections focusing on compliance, quality, and right first-time delivery
• Act as a Health & Safety Representative, conducting workplace inspections and investigating incidents

Experience and Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications, e.g., NRWSA supervisory level
• Health & Safety qualification (advantageous)
• Experience with deep excavation
• Strong management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Financial and commercial awareness
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Valid UK Driving Licence
