What you’ll be doing:

• Act as the primary on-site representative for the client, ensuring contractor compliance with project specifications and expectations.
• Monitor and record daily site operations, including construction, installation, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor contractor performance, addressing any issues or delays.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, external agencies, project managers and other third parties to ensure the smooth running of the project.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to record and monitor progress and quality of work.
• Identify and resolve technical or operational issues in advance to prevent occurrences.
• Prepare weekly progress reports to the Head of Delivery.

What experience you'll bring:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in solar farm construction, renewable energy, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a client-side supervisory role.
• Knowledge of solar PV system installation and maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with UK health and safety regulations, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel to different sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in solar energy or project management.
• Experience with SCADA monitoring systems.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role on the client side.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification.
