Job summary

Harper Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor/Manager to oversee an internal fit-out project in Derby. The role requires coordinating multiple subcontractors, maintaining programme, and ensuring safety and quality on a partially occupied site.

You will act as the main point of contact for the client and building occupants, demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder management skills to keep the project running smoothly from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Valid SSSTS certificate (minimum requirement).
• 3-Day First Aid at Work qualification.
• Asbestos Awareness certification.
• Proven experience supervising or managing internal fit-out projects.
• Experience overseeing multiple subcontractors across various trades.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of internal fit-out works.
• Managing and coordinating multiple subcontractors on site.
• Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
• Acting as the main point of contact for the client and building occupants.
• Maintaining site health and safety standards and documentation.
• Identifying and resolving site issues to keep the project running smoothly.
• Liaising with project management and reporting on progress.

Site Supervisor - Internal Fit-Out Project

Location: Derby

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor/Manager to oversee an internal fit-out project in Derby. This role is ideal for a proactive and professional supervisor with a strong background in commercial fit-out works, capable of managing multiple subcontractors while maintaining excellent communication with the client. As the building will remain partially occupied throughout the project, strong people and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision of internal fit-out works.
• Managing and coordinating multiple subcontractors on site.
• Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
• Acting as the main point of contact for the client and building occupants.
• Maintaining site health and safety standards and documentation.
• Identifying and resolving site issues to keep the project running smoothly.
• Liaising with project management and reporting on progress.

Requirements

Working Hours

• Preferred working pattern of 12-hour shifts Monday to Thursday, with a shorter working day on Friday.
• The client has approved these working hours to support programme delivery.
