Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the internal fit-out of a major commercial/community building in Luton, taking the project from white box through to handover. The role requires coordinating multiple trades, managing drylining, ceilings, flooring, joinery and MEP interfaces, with strong focus on programme, quality and safety within a large project environment.

• Experience delivering commercial interiors from shell to completion.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the internal fit-out of a large commercial/community building.
• Manage works from white box to completion and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist fit-out trades.
• Sequence drylining, ceilings, flooring, joinery, decorations and MEP interfaces.
• Work with project team to deliver the fit-out programme.
• Monitor progress, quality and workmanship across internal packages.
• Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors working concurrently.
• Identify and resolve programme, quality and coordination issues.
• Undertake regular inspections and manage snagging through to completion.
• Liaise with construction, commercial, design and engineering teams.
• Ensure works meet programme, specification and health & safety requirements.
• Drive the building towards practical completion and handover.

A leading main contractor is currently looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager with a strong commercial fit-out background to join a major mixed-use development in Luton.

The role will focus on the internal fit-out of a substantial commercial and community building, taking the space from white box / shell-and-core condition through to completion.

This is an opportunity for a Site Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of internal packages, coordinating multiple trades and driving a fit-out programme within a large, complex construction environment.

The Role

• Take responsibility for the internal fit-out of a large commercial/community building
• Manage the works from white box onwards through to completion and handover
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist fit-out trades
• Manage the sequencing of drylining, ceilings, flooring, joinery, decorations, MEP interfaces and associated finishes
• Work closely with the project team to deliver the fit-out programme
• Monitor progress, quality and workmanship across all internal packages
• Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors working concurrently
• Identify and resolve programme, quality and coordination issues
• Undertake regular inspections and manage snagging through to completion
• Liaise with the construction, commercial, design and engineering teams
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme, specification and health & safety requirements
• Drive the building towards practical completion and successful handover

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction or fit-out
• Strong experience delivering commercial interiors from white box / shell-and-core through to completion
• Experience managing multiple internal trades and specialist subcontractors
• A strong understanding of MEP coordination within commercial environments
• Excellent knowledge of finishes, quality control and construction sequencing
• Experience working to demanding programmes within a large project environment
• Strong subcontractor management and communication skills
• A proactive approach to problem solving and delivery
• Relevant construction qualifications, ideally including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid

The Opportunity
