Job summary

Story Contracting is seeking a motivated Sub-Agent or Site Manager to lead safe, on-time delivery of projects from our Chorley office in the North West. You will coordinate site operations, manage resources, lead teams and supply chain partners, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Manager or Sub-Agent on projects.
• Strong HSE and quality management knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain.
• Excellent communication and leadership across teams.
• Good planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing programmes, resources and costs.
• Ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Proactive focus on safety, quality and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for safe delivery of site works.
• Produce and maintain site documentation and records.
• Lead site teams to deliver works per methods, specs and programmes.
• Ensure skills and competence of teams before works commence.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subs on site.
• Deliver works per designs, specs, and ITPs.
• Identify NCRs and drive timely resolutions with engineering teams.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners.
• Monitor site costs and support cost-to-complete reviews.
• Keep sites secure, organized and well-maintained.
