Job Description:

Main Purpose of Job

Managing a team of Site Services Engineers – delegating and prioritising maintenance works.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing Gas Systems, HVAC Systems, Drainage & Effluent, Building & Facilities, Infrastructure, Boiler and Steam systems, and Compressed air systems.
• Organising and managing all third-party contractors.
• Managing all compliance across the site and carrying out regular inspections (e.g., legionella levels).
• Looking for ways to improve overall site efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and waste management.
• Managing related projects and continuous improvement programmes.
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are recorded appropriately.
• Complying with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times.
• Ensuring all Department Systems & Policies are in place and adhered to.
• Ensuring safety & quality standards are maintained.
• Monitoring Technical Systems to support a “due diligence” defence in case of food safety or quality issues.

Qualifications:

• Time Served, qualified to minimum HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Good communication skills to manage a team of engineers and contractors.

Experience:

• Experience in a senior Site Services, Utilities, or Facilities role, ideally with good knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
